Headphones issue

Hi,
I just got a Galaxy for testing from my Carrier (Orange Israel) for a week.
I have a strange problem with the headphone jack.
I have to press real hard in order to hear in both ears.
Either my headphones plug is somehow shorter then expected (Etymotics ER-4P) or the phone jack is somehow defective.
Is it a known issue with these phones?
I have a week to decide whether I want to get the phone from them.

are you using the samsung headphones or your own?

theres other topics on this because there isnt a standard fit and the clip on the galaxy is weak so if the jack is a little smaller than it should be it doesnt sit correctly

Well these are my own headphones (Etymotics ER-4P).
So you are saying I need to get some kind of converter perhaps?

Ok so I made some searches and apparently the best solution is to get Samsung's handsfree kit which has headphones jack?

yeah pretty much mate its annoying but its not all completely samsungs fault
my sony earbuds fit nicely and dont come loose.
my senhieser's dont fit at all yet they are bot 3.5 mm jacks
whos at fault?

Well nevermind I guess.
I will try and get some adapter that works.
By the way I installed Pdanet for tethering (I am not at liberty to root the phone since i need to return it in a week) and it works great.

My headphone jack is a little messed up too. When I wiggle the jack it randomly starts the music player and or changes the song being played.
