Headphones with Mic that work

I have some "Skull Candy" headphones with Mic that worked great with my Droid Incredible, however, with the Thunderbolt and after trying multiple ROMs, they don't work with it.

Question:
Does anyone know if the Shure se210m+ works with the Thunderbolt? They cost $169.99 + Tax, but all the reviews show that they are PRIMO AWESOME with other smartphones (primarily iPhones.)

Anybody try them and the Mic works?:confused::confused:

I have a pair of white skullcandy buds with an inline mic and it works fine on my TB.I am not sure what the exact model is.

Same here, I've got an old pair of white noise isolating Skullcandy with inline mic and they work fine with the Bolt.

I have a number of basic earbud headphones with inline remotes with mics. Ironically, the only one that has a problem with the mic working is the HTC pair I have!!

Well, I've tried the BOSE, Shure, Skull Candy, and several others and NONE of them work in my TB, but ALL of them work in my Incredible! What's the deal? I've NEVER gotten any of them to work. The ear speakers work fine, the Mic is the problem.

I would take it into your local Verizon store and let them see the problem. Does the remote work for pause/play when listening to music? Can you use the button to answer calls, and then the mic just doesn't pic up your voice? These might help narrow down the problem.

The reason I have so many headphones is that my Droid had a similar problem, a number of them just wouldn't work right. The button would not answer, but mute instead, or the mic just wouldn't work. I never could get those to work right. Now, with my TB, they all work fine.

There is another thread about this, I'll see if I can dig it up for reference. Generally if the headphone jack has 3 lines on it, it should work with the TB. I find it funny that my POS BB Curve ear buds work and my friends $150 pair of nice ear buds don't, lol

I bought a $5 pair of HTC headphones from Amazon that work great for phone calls. People can hear me and I can hear them.

They're not terrible for music (but not great either), but I don't really listen to music on my phone.

I picked up the Sonix 3S (good price at Costco, with lifetime Costco warranty). They sound awesome and the mic works great. I was on the phone with a friend in Denver and he was using the Sonix mic (on his TB), I could NOT tell he was on a headset. Ordered myself a pair the following day. I use them all the time.

Well, I contacted Verizon about it and they're sending me a new phone. They said new. I hope they MEAN new. They said that some of the original rollout phones experience this problem "lucky me". I guess I'll know Monday, after FedEx runs...
