Headset blocker doesn't seem to work on MIUI for me :/ . My headphones still get detected as a headset, so it's randomly changing songs.... anyone know how I can get headset blocker to work on MIUI?

What if I say this problem was there on CM 7.1 and Absolution?

You may get an answer mate as a lot of the guy's on here run those two ROM'S. Be patient, we're all here to help each other, stublake13 was only pointing out a fact and is one of the guys on here who knows this sh*t inside out, i'm sure someone will get this problem sorted for you;)

I've got Absolution ROM lined up to use with Boot Manager I'll flop MIUI on and tinker around see what we can come up with.

Quick update...got Absolution 3.5 installed with Boot Manager and have tested my SkullCandy Ear Buds and have not had any problems with the ROM detecting them as anything other than headphones rather than a headset. I'll be testing both MIUI and ICS all going well tomorrow evening as I've been busy with my pregnant wife having hospital visits and the two we have already lol only got Absolution tested as I'm at work tonight and same again tomorrow ;) (its where I go for a rest :D)

I think this headset problem is not a Tom problem but a handset problem, and a quite well known one that a lot of people have, I had these headphone problems since my stock rom. However on stock I could use headset blocker to stop my headphones being detected as a headset. But on Miui it doesn't work. Now I have flashed to Black Ice Rom, the headset blocker works but completely disables my music player widget on the lockscreen.

Ow and why the hell are you helping people with their phones for free when you have a pregnant wife!

I have checked MIUI for the sake of ruling things out but as I found for Absolution, MIUI also worked perfectly for my headphones. Could just be a case of waiting for headset blocker to get an update out. I'd personally e-mail the dev to let them know the ROM your using and the problems your experiencing. They might have had these issues before and have some advice.

Fair enough, thanks for your help :)

I have had the same problem. It seems headset blocker doesn't work with miui (HTC desire).

However, I found an app called "Disable Autoplay" which disables the media buttons on the headset. Your phone still thinks there's a headset connected, but it ignores the signals.

No more song skipping here.
