It 'started' today so I went there to see all the wonderful options I suddenly have... zero.

That is amazingly good compared with the millions of problems that plagued the previous 'system' ..

Computer Security Expert McAfee: Obamacare a Hacker's Dream

Saying "somebody made a grave error," McAfee Antivirus founder John McAfee says millions of Americans could have their identities stolen as people sign up for Obamacare.

"What idiot put this system out there and did not create a central depository?" he asked. "This is insane. I will predict that the loss of income for the millions of Americans that are going to lose their identities … "

He self-admittedly plays on fears to sell his product, big time. It is interesting, though, I haven't thought about that, yet.

As an IT pro for over 30 years, a major new system rollout having issues is the expectation, not the exception. And the fact that so many people have been doing everything they could to turn it into a disaster can't have helped ;)

depository

Repository, maybe?

This is insane

I have to defer to his undoubted personal experience in this area :D

Glitch-ridden Obamacare website going down for maintenance over weekend

Healthcare.gov opened for business Tuesday morning but was plagued by glitches that prevented many users from purchasing insurance. President Barack Obama and his deputies pleaded for patience, saying the site would be improved soon and that its problems stemmed from a large number of visitors flooding the site. The site has logged 8.5 million unique visitors since Tuesday, and the 24/7 call support center fielded 406,000 calls over the same period.

I’ve heard that all this apparent incompetence is by design; that they will have no choice but to throw their hands up and switch us to single-payer, overnight.

I'm in the Medical Insurance Field and i know we are going to be very busy , but in time ObamaCare will work itself out..... hopefully :(

I still do not understand why so many people do not like the ACA, and no members of congress have any other solution or fix!

At least some big tech companies are going to try to help get the website working. Oracle, Red Hat and Google to name a few.

"We are doing everything we can to assist those contractors to make HealthCare.gov a highly performant, highly reliable, highly secure system." Oracle CEO Larry Ellison told shareholders at the company's annual meeting on Thursday in Redwood City, California.
It's good to hear it.

Obamacare website gets new tech experts; oversight pressure grows | Reuters

Did you see the study where people hated "Obamacare" but loved the "Affordable Care Act"? The name alone was enough to make people like or dislike it without even knowing the laws themselves. Didn't even think that they were one and the same.

Regardless of political persuasion, America is under a massive cult of ignorance. Even Krugman (who I believe is an insensible moron) was right about that: He proclaimed that Americans didn't have a clue what they were talking about after a few surveys showing they would agree with fictional bills being passed (that had no real contents). Of course, I disagree with his conclusion, that this made it okay to come up with bogus statistics to support his claims.

Of course! That must be it! I read it on infowars.com so it must be true.

the other option would be that they truly are this incompetent...... and their supporters are either complacent or compliant in the incompetency.... I guess this option would beg the question...

should someone this incompetent be allowed to manipulate something so important?
