Root Hello and root advice for first time poster.

Hello all,
im adam, you can call me that or Ks, what ever is easier lol.
Ive had the motorola droid since it came out, and i was looking to root it, so if anyone can point me in the right direction or give me a basic summary, thanks a bunch :)

The best place to start is here. The first post there has just been edited with the latest info. I suggest to do some reading there and to also take a look here to see what ROM you might want to install. Good luck and have fun!!

Flash will become visible (and downloadable) in the market once you flash a Froyo ROM (though this isn't true for all, but it is for Cyanogen Mod).
WiFi tether is also available in the market and simply requires both root and a capable kernel (virtually all the overclock kernels suffice).
