Root Hello Everyone!

Hey everyone. I am a newbie! I have learned alot so far , but have alot more reading to do! I will read before I ask any questions, but I do have a question now that I was not able to find. I was having a problem with Signature on E: so I was told I should unroot, which i did. Should I let Verizon send me my updates on my DROID (motorola) or should I start from scratch and do it manually? Thanks and glad to be here! I was a member of another site, I asked for help, and not one reply. See you in the forums! Thanks

Hey Chooch, welcome to the forum! I'm not really sure what you mean about the signature and whether or not you allow Verizon to send you updates depends on what you want. Generally, Verizon updates remove root, but they give you the latest of whatever official version Verizon is offering.

If you want to be rooted and running custom ROMs, then you don't want to accepts Verizon's updates. The ROM developers are usually way ahead of Verizon with the latest and greatest upgrades anyway.
