Firstly, hello.. browsed this forum many a time to help me with my android devices but have never joined till now as I'm stumped..
bit of a disaster really.. my 06 amoled desire fell out my pocket and smashed the screen... screen still works as before the dropping incident.. cool huh? well that was cool till I spilt a cup of T over it as well a few days later!
the phone continues to work, it only encountered a 0.000001 second T dribble, but this still managed to get inside I think.
now my tracking ball does'nt work.. the 3.5 plug wont recognise and worst of all I can't get the SD card to recognise... like it does'nt think one in there at all, including on htc sync
I have changed the SD card for a new one and still nothing, so im figuring the Tea spillage has shorted all the above.
my phone was uninsured and I didnt buy it with a CC, so no options there.
its still working in every other way, just a smashed screen
I tried unrevoked and flashed and rooted it, having already formatted it twice I was figuring maybe that would help?
maybe a ROM ?
when I ran revoked I was missing the driver ? this made me think maybe the card reader driver in the phone maybe somehow needed rebooting or was missing, hence it not reading?
Im clutching at straws here but anythings worth a try at this stage as its a good phone and im still making calls, using net etc happily
