Help Hello Ultrars, i need help with charging.

hello guys, i come from the prevail side.
now heres my problem.
im the techy of the family so im supposed to know how to fix things. problem is. idk this phone.

now this is what i know....
1. the phone can show that it is fully charge but then the next second it goes into battery at 4% mode.
2. the battery icon keeps flashing between charging and not charging.
continuously without stop.
3. this is the samsung ultra from boost mobile.


can anyone help me?
this is my sisters phone. so i dont know much but i can try and extract as much information as possible for you guys

had the same problem. changed USB cord and that fixed it. make sure to use a Samsung cord (there us a link somewhere in this forum for cheap ones on eBay) although I've been using my wife's blackberry wall charger and USB cord for data transfer w/o any problems

First, just want to say I have the transform ultra on sprint. Don't really think it matters.
Second, I use all types of chargers from USB wall plug to USB in truck. I have two different cords. One from Belkin (suppose to be for kindle). And the stock USB. I travel all over the U.S. and use them for easier transport. Never had an issue with charging no matter what I use.

I agree with above quote, change your USB cord.

I use my old blackberry wall and car chargers all the time. Much nicer and longer cord than the crappy samsung one. So I would also recommend trying a different charger.

Another thing you can try is running the battery in the phone all the way dead until the phone shuts off. Then charge the phone all the way to 100% while the phone is off. Unplug the phone, then turn it on.

Alright ill try these out thanks for the replies.
I've told her to let it die fully then recharge. I believed she uses two or three different chargers.
Her bfs and hers. Mine and my moms too.
She does charge when its off.
But that blinking Charge gets annoying.
It shows discharge pop up even when its full.

changing my usb cord solved the problem with my TU.
I had a similar problem with my prevail, it was a problem with the USB receptacle on the phone. there is slight variation in micro-b USB plugs, not all of them fit the phone perfectly. I probably messed up the connection by using a non-samsung cord because eventually i would have to wiggle the cord until it would charge.
If you find that your phone will charge or stop charging when you move the phone around it could be a problem with the connection
