Root HELP! accidently deleted "people" app

I was looking through the MikG tweaks and accidentally deleted the people app which I think a htc sense app. I really hope someone can tell me how to fix this. I would really like to get it back. I'm running MikG3.1

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure there will be a better way to do this, but if you have adb....

you could make a nandroid backup
reflash the rom
use adb to pull the .apk
restore backup
install .apk via adb or sideloading....

That *should* work, but I would think there would be a better way...

Basically you just download the ROM, unzip it, find the people app (system/app) and copy it to your SD card and install it using a program on the phone like ES file explorer.

That method is easier and I would recommend doing it that way, but mines fool proof :D

Either way you go, let us know how it works

I donwloaded the rom and unzipped it to a folder on my pc. I found the file "htc contacts. I noticed there are 2 file one the ".apk: and one the ".odex". Is there something I need to do with both of these files, or only the .apk?
 
you may have to copy both over to the SDCARD the apk is all you need Not sure why the odex is there but anyways the apk is what is needed.
 
I tried doing this but the app didn't install from the download folder. Is there a specific folder I need to put the files in?

No you should just be able to tap on it in your file manager and it give you an option to install tap install and go from there. If it's giving you an error could you post that.
 
well i never messed with the people app like this. i would just wipe dalvik cache and cache and re-flash the rom. your data will be saved. however, any mods or themes on the rom will get wiped.
 
That was fun! I reflashed the rom and it wiped my SD card! I have spent the last 2 or 3 hours putting my apps back on the phone. "Note to self, don't delete the people app again, EVER!
