Root help!!! advanced hack kit. inspire, white htc screen!

i successfully rooted my inspire with advanced hack kit and flashed a custom rom however all the sudden clockworkmod couldnt get superuser privledges and i thought maybe i lost my root? it was probably just the rom and i made a big mistake and ran advanced hack to re root... it couldnt finish the process and now when i go to hboot and try to restore through recovery or anything it goes to the white htc screen like it booting fines then just fades out....

am i ****ed???? help please. i need my phone. :[
 
All you have to do is take the battery out of your phone, then place it back in and reboot into recovery. From there you can install the rom of your choice (make sure to delete your cache and dalvik cache before you install it) Being that you just rooted if you are not familiar with this, hold the volume down button, briefly press the power button then release while still holding volume down. This should bring you to the hboot screen where you can select recovery and go from there. Make sure to have the rom you desire already downloaded and on your sd card before booting into recovery.
 
ive already done that it wont let me boot to recovery it goes to the white htc screen and fades out to black when i select anything from the hboot menu (white screen with android on a skateboard) any other solutions? im desperate.
 
also, when i attempted to re-0root with the hack kit it got hung up after downgrading radio and i was forced to unplug, take the battery out.. boot to hboot... but again.. if i select anything from hboot "recovery", "reboot" ..anything it just goes to the white htc screen and fades out to black everytime :[
 
samething... all i can do is get to hboot and i have not figured out what to do from there... like i said i cant get to the restore menu from hboot or anything it just goes to the white htc screen of death and fadeds to black.

Okay. I think you are going to have to restore using an RUU. Boot the phone into hboot, plug usb in, then choose fastboot. From there try running the RUU. If it is sucessfull your phone should be fully functional stock.
 
the phone is s-off therefore i guess i would need a stock rooted ruu... link please? and i tried fastbooting lastnight just to try and it faded to black.. is there a possiblity i permanently bricked my phone?? i will try though
 
no you are not bricked. There are cases where if the phone on a normal boots to a black screen that their is a driver issues and re running the hack kit from that screen should fix it. Cause the phone is technically running, just no video. If data was wiped therefore usb debugging is off and you'll have to RUU then.

oh and fastboot was turned off before i bricked the phone if it makes a difference. im a noob. im expiriences jailbreaking apple devices, but i hate apple. android is fairly new to me. thanks for your help so far.
 
fast boot in htc sense is differnet from fastboot in hboot.

fast boot in sense is just like hibernation mode. fastboot in hboot is more along the lines of bootloader talk
 
how exactly do i restore from fast boot?
does it matter if the phone is already rooted? like do i need a rooted stock rom? do i download the ruu and put it on my sd card///??
sorry im a noob i need detailed instructions...
 
haha i was overthinking it.. just boot to hboot, connect and run ruu as admin. your a life saver thanks so much for explaining the obvious to a newbie. my phone is back!!!! god bless!! i hope this helps others like me.
