Help HELP! : Can't Download or Update Applications(Verizon Galaxy Nexus)

Hey guys. Having an issue with my galaxy nexus. Unable to update or download any apps..anyone have a solution? Thanks, Collin

Hi Collin. Thread moved to Gnex forum, I think you'll get much better response to your question here. Have you verified that you have working wifi or 3g/4g right now? First thoughts are a connectivity issue or also, sometimes the market does go down for a short time. How long as this been going on for you?
 
Yes I have a data connection..when I try to update it just goes to my notification tray instantly saying error and when I try to download a new application an error pops up. Read somewhere to clear data and cache for the Download Manager in the settings...didn't work though....? Been going on for about 4 or 5 days now..

have you changed your google pwd lately?


the other thing you can try is finding "play store" in settings>apps>all and clearing the data and the cache.
 
Is your gmail working right now? At settings > Accounts > Google...is your gmail account listed? I figured for sure clearing the data/cache on the play store would work. Anybody have opinions on trying Google Services Framework too?

good idea, if you click "sync now" does it sync?

I guess you could try "remove account" then re-adding it, but I don't what that could affect. I would be leery to try it.

Is the phone rooted? anything installed lately? custom ROM?

I assume this was working correct?
 
I didn't say that quite right. At the accounts location, one of the items should be "Google". That will be the controlling factor for gmail, the play store, etc. So do you have that?

If not, press "add account" and attempt to add Google and then enter your Google login credentials. I'm not sure how this would have gotten borked without a major issue having transpired.
 
Checked for the Google account and it was there..everything was synced but synced it again. Nothing is working though. Idk what is going on! Who in this world would know how to fix this?!

I just removed both my email accounts from the Googleaccount in the settings. Put the emails back on and it worked! Thanx crashumbc
