Root Help! Droid X Gingerbreak question

I think I am running 2.3.3 and I just dug through some posts while waiting for my phone to root and it looks like gingerbreak does not work on 2.3.3. Anyway, do I just need to pull the battery at this point? Is that the safe way to do things? Thanks!

Sure, any time.

If you want root, you'll need to sbf back to Froyo, then use the two part update to .596. See the stickies at the top as this has been documented a LOT.

+1 to what Bouchigo said. Its almost like we need flashing red lights wrapped around the stickies....and everyone that joins should take mandatory training on using the search feature. ....

It would help diminish the "same" question asking over and aver, but I don't see it happening
