Root Help. Formated. (Solved)

So I use TWRP and I have a theme installed on it. Well I was going to wipe my data and re install my ROM because it's been a while and I wanted it fresh.

Well the theme I use had a "format data" option as the first and only option other than "advanced options" so I chose that. I haven't done a full wipe with this theme so I was assuming this was the right option.

It formatted everything including my system and Sd card. I assumed since it was labeled "format data" that only the data would be formated. Nope.

So, I did NOT reboot the phone and I am still in recovery but obviously I have nothing to choose. What do I do to get back up?

Im Good.

For those wondering, I just downloaded the stock Google image and flashed it through Skip Soft's toolkit.

If you had a nandroid or custom rom on your computer, you could have pushed it to the device through adb, but at least things are up an running again. I saw the title and feared your re-partitioned the device through the recovery. That would have been horrible.

Yeah i would have done that but my external HD where I keep everything took a dive a few weeks ago and I lost everything and haven't had the chance to move anything to it so I didn't have any backups saved yet.

But yeah I'm good. Decided to just leave TWRP unthemed to not cause any confusion in the future. ;)

TWRP 2.5 condensed all wiping options with one swipe to the right for a fresh ROM flash when selecting Wipe. In advanced options, you can choose what to wipe. Let's just say that I have incorrectly chosen the wrong option and wiped my entire install instead of cache. I might go back to 2.4.4. Not the same as what you did, but frustrating nevertheless. :banghead:

So it seems that everything that was on my Internal SD at the time of formatting was saved to the "lost and found" folder under /data.

Well Ill be damned.

How did that happen?

No clue. Formated my SD and Im sitting there looking at it wondering how 6 GB of data was being used. So I started hunting around and finally found the lost and found folder and it was packed full of everything that was on the internal storage. Not just from that day but from previous days as well.

So check your lost and found folder under data. Might can free up some room on your storage capacity.

Well my lost and found folder doesn't have anything in it. Weird.
