Root HELP!! Had to factory reset my rooted HTC Evo

Just made an account specifically to thank you Mikestony. My son was given an old phone from a family member to use as a "mini tablet" and I didn't know it was rooted. I factory reset it and got it in the same state as the OP. Your instructions were perfect, just what I needed. It works perfectly now. Thanks! Now I'm eyeing my EVO 4G LTE and wondering if I can root it to get the Bluetooth working again. . . .

O.k...this is what I think should be done...and I will copy/paste the instructions here....these are taken from this guide:

I kinda edited a little just for you:p

Basically, this is what we are going to do. We will install a recovery (called AmonRA). Then we will flash a rom to get your phone working.

....

That should do it man! :D

If you have any questions after reading this, just ask so you are clear on the process.:D

Well, thanks and your welcome :D
But I cannot take the credit for those instructions...my cohort Ocnbrze wrote those up and I merely copied/edited/pasted them there:)
I was just wet behind the ears when I first met him here and he has taught me so much about this device:)

He also can be of great help with your Evo LTE as he has one, and has written a great guide to root it, as you will see in his link ;)

Thanks for joining and we hope to see you around!!
