If you are sending it back I would recommend SBFing it back to stock. Otherwise you should be able to uninstall the app through,

Settings/Application/Manage Applications

Or do a factory reset which you want to do before sending it back anyways,

Dude,

I tried that.

Still there.

This will work guaranteed. Download Z4root install it let it root the phone for you. It will re root it and restart the phone. After it does that open Z4root app again and unroot it restart your phone and BAM superuser will be gone. BTW the zroot app has two buttons root and unroot its easy as it gets.

You are a lifesaver! Its completely gone!

With all due respect to the personage involved, it is incumbent upon me to move this to the root section. :D

The only sbf out rite now is the system only sbf, for 2.3.340, would this still unroot.

Or is there a full sbf out that I haven't found

I dont know if the system only SBF removes root or not. If your really hard up to know I can try it for you, just say the word :) The .320 full SBF is fully compatible with .340 and that does in fact remove root.

I'd just like to know incase I needed it
So the .320 full sbf, will do a full flash to the .340 ota ?, if so after the flash it will then be .320 and then do the update.

I never took the OTA and I know right now I can freely flash the full .320 SBF to get to .320 and I can flash the system only .340 SBF to get to .340. I know nothing about the OTA. Sorry.

Im took the ota update hoping that it would fix the 3g dance/drop issue.
Im just waiting on a full 2.3.340 full sbf

I rooted using this same method a few months ago,and I too cannot get rid of superuser....I dont want to get rid of it,I want it back,I took out my rubix, and Apex roms i was running, and restored to stock rom, went back in root explorer, renamed all the stock bloat i removed, and removed/renamed the hack files that bootstrap puts in,removed all root apps and hit updates, and took the OTA,knowing Id lose root. I had already placed Z4root on my SD card prior to taking the OTA,after the OTA, I still have superuser icon,I can only clear the data on it,cant remove it.I am able to install root apps, but when i run Z4root,nothing...i ran it 10x at least with no luck getting root.I tried with airplane mode on,blue tooth, clearing data on superuser before i ran it...Ive heard to clear cache, but i dont know how to do that without root....Id rather not have to SBF back to .320-then install the zip to .340 . If anyone has a suggestion, Id really appreciate it....
