Root help HTC desire rooting problems

wipe the device from recovery and boot
you are restoring a backup that froze the device
its likely you moved an app to the sdcard that you needed
you didnt force move and system apps did you?
dont restore this nandroid as its a dud
there is no point in restoring an RUU as that will unroot you
you should be able to just wipe from recovery and reboot and all should be well

Thanks Rastaman

Just to clarify, so i just need to boot into the clockwork recovery and use all the data wipes?

Then just reboot the phone?

When i did the apps moved i just moved all that were available to me in Titanium Backup, i remember swiftkey and facebook app going across, it did take some time - perhaps I have moved a system app, i didn't really pay attention.

Thanks again (and sorry for being another help thread!)

nah dont be sorry were here to help
yeah just do wipe data factory reset.
dont wipe format/wipe system or you will have no rom

worst comes to the worst if it still does not boot after wiping then you can flash another rooted rom.

make sure in future you take a nandroid backup before you try making changes other than normal application installations

Thanks again,

Couldn't restore even after a data wipe but installed Lee Droid and at least it is working as a phone again.

All seems good - just restoring my texts and contacts :-)

Thanks

Richard

From sms back up and Google for my contacts. I have them saved in titanium backup too. :-)
Any other roms I could try? Quite like this lee Droid though.
