Root Help, I am stuck!

I was doing just fine with 4EXT & Mobster Lite apart from it getting slow with sending/receiving messages so I tried to install Angry Bean.

Had to install TWRP 2.2.something, then got suck at Starting Apps. After wasting a lot of time, I tried to go back to Mobster Lite but TWRP cannot restore from 4EXT backups and I cannot get 4EXT recovery to install from Hboot. It parses the zip then.. nothing.

I tried to install Mobster Lite from TWRP 1.1.1 but it gets stuck on the boot animation. Ugh.

Help!
 
4EXT works perfectly fine for installing Angry Beans, idk why you changed to TWRP but did you perform a full wipe before installing a new rom?

before installing a rom you must always wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik and wipe all partitions(except sdcard) then install. IDK about installing 4EXT from Hboot i used the s-off guide from remanifest to install 4EXT recovery

[edit] Also are you sure Mobster's Rom lite is getting stuck on the boot animation? Sometimes it could take up to 5 minutes for it to fully load up when installing a new rom...
 
Are you S-On? You need to be S-Off for Angry Beans. And switching to TWRP doesn't have the feature for kernel flashing that 4ext has for S-on users.

I think he's s-off or at least it says that in his post at the bottom..

That's correct... just saying that it had the dumlock feature for S-ON users. I'm not recommending TWRP to anyone here, just pointing out that feature.
 
Thanks, I finally got the phone to boot in the wee hours of the morning, I had to do Factory Reset in TWRP. I had avoided doing that as I thought it would reset my Virgin account details.

I managed to get Wild For The Night installed but then my Titanium app wouldnt show up in my apps after install.

I installed 4EXT and was able to restore my Mobster backup and things seem better now apart from my 3G isnt working.

And yes, I am S-OFF.

Is it literally not working or its just very slow?? I think if you was on a stock rom you could update your PRL and update profile, that might increase your 3g speed but i would wait til someone else comments to comfirm you can do this on a rooted phone. Also you could try flashing different radios to see which one gives you the best results.
 
My 4G is fine but I cannot get that at home.

I dont see it even connecting to 3G. When I am not on 4G, I get this popup.

Error Code 76: Unable to establish wireless data connection

You might just be in an area that has bad 3g service, this has happened to me many times before but always fixed itself. I never even went into the mobile network setting so idk what options should be checked , but i do know you cant roam on VM. Like i said wait until someone posts to comfirm you can update your PRL and profile on a rooted phone. That may help your problem and you could flash different radios to see which works best for you

Could that be whats causing him not to have 3g?
 
Looks like I finally got this resolved. After screwing around for most part of the day I noticed I could not do a profile or PRL update from Mobster (that I could find) so went back to Harmonia, updated both, restarted and my 3G was back.

I restored my 4EXT backup of Mobster and my 3G seems to be working now.
