Root Help I have screwed up

This was another issue i am having, gparted didnt seem to pick up the card when i connected it, so am going to try this via my laptop instead of desktop tonight, you know thinking about it, I may have a screwed SD card!!!!! Why the hell didnt I think of that 1st, mind you wouldnt that mean I couldnt see it in Windows either?

Are you mounting via clockworkmod using "mount usb mass storage" to gparted?

If the gparted user interface is already running when you connect the phone or mount the card, you have to exit the Gparted GUI and restart it.

Yes

I just used the refresh devices as this has picked it up in the past. Am gonna go back to basics tonight I think!

Sometimes refresh does and sometimes not. I find if you press the X in the top right, it leaves you with linux desktop. There is an icon to relaunch Gparted there

Thought id asked this but its not here. What's your current software build (settings, about phone).

Also what RUU are you using?

Doh, dont beleive this, got myself back to stock, and downloaded the amon ra thing, followed su root's how to root etc. and when i started up unrevoked it just kicked off and installed clockwork mod again. So I now have a rooted phone. However put a rom on the sd card (after formating it in windows to FAT32) and when I went into clockwork mod, it came up and said no file found. BAck to square one!

Just gone through the GParted process now too, and it has the card set up to be 1gb ext3 AFTER 13.9Gb off Fat32, tried to flash again and same thing. No file found!

Have tried to do it through Rom manager now too. Rom manager sees the rom I want then reboots, then says: -
E:failed to seek in /cache/update.zip (invalid arguement)
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted.

Have turned of the signature thing to no avail.

Anyone got a sledge hammer? Or any one near Skelmersdale able to help???

How did you end up with clockwork again? You start unrevoked, select your amon ra then connect your phone. Couldnt be simpler.

So close! I re-did everything, went stock, then unrevoked again (I plugged phone in before i opened unrevoked 1st time). Then managed to get root with amon ra.
Went in and tinkered, did the partition stuff in there, all done, happy days, loaded leedroid on, it could see the zip, opened it, then it said E: corrupt file: system/lib/libomx_wmadec_sharedlibrary.so
E:verification failed
Instalation aborted
AARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Found a signature thingy that i toggled and leedroid loaded on, however it seems have been stuck on the HTC screen for about 5 minutes

MY GOD WHAT A MARATHON!!!!
Cant thank you guys enough!!! Got there in the end (not with Leedroid though, couldnt get it too work!)
So what did I have to do in the end?
Well, I went back to stock HTC, and the phone was working ok, used windows to format the whole sd card to Fat32.
Then used unrevoked in the custom setting to use AmonRa.
Then I loaded my Rom on (Leedroid), went to the recovery and amonra came up. It then found my zip file, but before installing it, I formated the card again using AmonRa, then re-partitioned it to use Ext2 and Fat32 (thats the order that AmonRa gave me the option to do it in).
Once completed I rebooted the phone back to AmonRa (wanted to be sure so couldnt do enough reboots). I then went to install zip and it saw Leedroid!!!!!!!!!
Installed it, but then the HTC logo came up and stayed up for half hour.
So gave up, got a copy of oxygen and loaded that, and bingo bango, phone works!!!!!!!!!!
Apps2sd works too!!! Only thing is there seems to be a portion of my phone memory gets used each to time I load an app, most goes to the Sd card, but some seems to stay on the phone??? Confused, but happier!!!
Thanks again!
Finished at half 1 this morning, up at 6 yeah!!!!
(Ps anyone got any idea about the memory thing?)

This is normal, don't worry. ;)

Dan, when you reply, how do you quote just the part of the post you need? I just copy/paste at the mo (hence my reply above?)

I would've used EXT3 or 4 personally, EXT2 isn't used much anymore

I was tired, sleepy and fed up, and that seemed to be the only option that Amon Ra gave me.
I will have another look at it tonight, as I am in work, I cant do it here, cause it wipes ya Sd card when you do this doesnt it? So cant get the Rom to reflash back onto the card, at least its working thats a start!

Ignore me, I have just had a look in Amon Ra and just saw that it does give the other options, I was just tired and impatient!!

And again, I saw an option that says upgrade ext2 to ext3, so thought stuff it, caution to the wind, and went ahead and its done, now using EXT3!

that's what i thought, just thought there might be an easier way than deleting everything you don't want. Thanks
