Root HELP!! Installed stock GB update.zip and now stuck in Bootloader!!

Pull the battery and see if that gets you running. If not go into stock recovery and wipe data/factory reset and you should be good to go.

OK so I was stock Froyo and installed the stock update.zip from here:

Official DX Gingerbread 2.3.3 (4.5.596) Release Thread - Something for everyone

installed the update.zip from the stock bootloader, it installed fine, phone rebooted, and now it is stuck in bootloader and says the following:

Bootloader
30.04
Err: A5,69,35,00,27

Battery OK
OK to Program
Connect USB
Data Cable

Please Help!!!!!!

ok...

1. you installed it from stock RECOVERY not the bootloader...you're going to confuse yourself by getting bootloader and recovery mixed up...

2. did you do a data wipe/factory reset while in stock recovery?...if you can get back to recovery i would try that...

the reboots - I see the new red Motorola M and then it goes to the bootloader screen. If I hold down home when powering on it does nothing.

I can't seem to get into stock recovery

Pull the batt

install the batt

hold down power and home

once the logo appears release power but continue to hold home

once the android with the ! appears release home and press the volume up and down together.

battery was prob 80%. I have tried 4 or 5 times to get into stock recovery - no luck :(

alright...well you're going to have to go to the following website

Droid X SBF

you're going to need RSDLite 4.9...the Motorola Drivers...and the Current SBF File...they are all available from that site...

sometimes the site is a little slow...you can get the SBF file from here

Index of ./DroidX/SBFs/2.2/

you want the bottom file...

once you get all that installed we can work on actually SBFing

no real need to wait for the OTA, you've just done the most difficult thing you would encounter, I, personally would try again, but that's how I am, kinda stubborn.

Metfanant wouldn't the full SBF file be better? The last one is system files only if i'm not mistaken right? I couldn't get that one to work. I had to use the full one with the SBF file extention and it finally worked right.

that is the full SBF file...its just compressed in a .zip file so its quicker to download

Then that has to be a different file from the one i downloaded a few months ago cause when I went to uncompress the file i have it didnt't give me an SBF file. It gave me system files.

I am tempted to try again. Could it be that I was rooted with Apex running, then flashed maderstock back to stock & unrooted? If not that I am not sure what I could have done wrong.

maderstcok flashes gave people all sorts of trouble when upgrading to the leaked GingerBlur builds...that is why the instructions clearly state that you should SBF back to stock to get ready for Gingerbread..

So now that I have sbf'd back to stock Froyo there is a better chance the stock gb update.zip will work?

Yes. I don't understand why people still try using the Maderstock file. It has been made well know for weeks that it is notoriously unreliable for fixing GB issues.
