What does this allow us to do? I'm definately willing to contribute if i know the value/purpose. So far i've rooted my phone with no prob, and removed all bloatware. I've checked out XDA forums, and seen the custom roms, but outside of look/inferface i'm just curious what else custom roms offer. As you can tell i'm an android noob lol. I have done roms and custom themes for the G1. Say you would like to design a car with your specs for your purposes. The same sense applies to a custom rom...

Looking in the files you guys have given me, there are drivers for the FM radio from qualcom included in this rom. I have not looked into it as of yet. But it is possible...

I really did nothing but find the correct files and programs through google search and threw it all together in a package. You're all welcome anyway. lol

I got a feeling you're gonna be the real star here when all is said and done.
 
hahaha that was funny... I did wrote on purple cuz i work for metropcs... but we are talking about the LG OPTIMUS M wich is a metropcs phone and metro represent PURPLE...

Well looks like I knocked out the recovery and boot :) I can compile bootloader if someone can figure out how to split the tot.bin and repack it as that's the only way known to flash a new bootloader.

I have both the TOT file that's used with LGNPST and the BIN file that's downloaded when using LG's Updater Tool. They seem to be one in the same but I have no idea about how to extract anything from them.

Both are for flashing to 2.2.

I asked about that and opened a can of worms on this thread.
We could always rebuild it from source if have we too...

I have replaced bootloader/hboot.img threw recovery before!

They are the same file, just with different names.

I got the 2.2.1 file from the LG Update software, and flashed it using LGNPST.
