Help Help :( just got phone from google play store, does nothing.

I ordered the gsm version from google, Put in the sim card and battery without incident. Hit power, nothing. Plugged it in, no charge light or indicator. Hit power while plugged in, nothing.

Does it have to charge for a while with NO indication of what's going on before it can be used? Or is it more likely my phone is dead on arrival?

I'm freaking out here.

the batteries all come with a partial charge, should atleast poweron, or have the battery screen come up when plugged in.....sounds DOA.....try changing outlet and see if you can get the big battery to show up when you plug it in?(means it's charging while power is off)

I can try another outlet, but I use that outlet for charging up my previous phone. It doesn't do anything when I hit power, or hold it.

Pull the battery for 5 min, then pop it back in and see if she fires up. If not i'd send it back.

Did you 'hit power' or press and hold power? You have to hold the power button for about 5 seconds until you feel it vibrate to indicate its booting.
