Root Help me fix email

My email will not connect to the servers unless my phone is running Backside IHO. I tried it on Joyos. I logged into my school email. It says it 'needs security settings...' in the status bar. I go to click it and get this error: 'Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.' Tried clearing data, and rebooted a couple times. Didn't work. So then I went back to Cold as Ice. That didn't show that error, but I went to add account and it wouldn't even connect to servers(everything was entered correctly). So I went back to Backside and its working fine now. Sooo, basically, how can I get it working fine on other roms? If I backed up app+data using tb, would that work?

first remove the app with root uninstaller from the ROM you are trying to restore it on, then you can restore it with app+data. otherwise you will get FC's (force closes) with the app
