Root Help me get my OV working

A time ago I put the IHO Rom on my OV. The version where the wifi didnt work. My bother wants to use the phone now and I've been trying to get it back to stock. I've tried all the returning to stock threads I can find and none work. The major problem is the screen is black. I can't see anything, only at start up and when in CWM. I got it to the point where I think a stock rom is now running because I can hear the starting noise but I cant see it. What do I need to do?

Looks like you have an original OS 2.2.2 phone with a Hitachi screen. You look like you have the wrong recovery for your phone.

I have another option that will not require you to downgrade to stock.
Does the ROM work fine, can you see every thing fine? If so, from your PC go to the All Things Root Guide sticky^ and download the BobZohme modified CWMod recovery and the Harmonia ROM (cm-7). Turn power off to the Phone and take out the SD card and put it into the PC. Transfer the recovery and ROM.zip to the sd card (do not put them in any folder). Rename the recovery to: recovery.img. Put the SD card back in phone and power on the phone.

Download a terminal emulator from the market. Open it up and type in: su (then hit the enter key).
You will get a Superuser prompt, select allow. Hit the menu key and select "Toggle Soft Keyboard" to bring up the keyboard. Now type in:
flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.image (hit the enter key).
You now have a CWMod recovery that will work for your screen. To get into the recovery just type in: reboot recovery (hit the enter key).
You scroll with the up/down volume keys. You make selections with the camera button.

If you decide to choose this option and need help installing the ROM, just post back in here.

This way if you get the phone back from your brother you will already have a Gingerbread ROM installed with everything working.
