What's the point of the password on the HTC Evo when you can just factory reset and it goes away. My sister and i are fighting over the phone and once she got it she kept it for 3 months and kept it well hidden from me. Thing is i finally stole it back from her but i don't want her to steal it again and she will do a factory reset and the pass goes away. How do i resolve this?

well you do not necessarily need a password. have you tried a to use a pattern or a gesture to lock and unlock the phone? another idea is to try some of type of remote lockdown app found in the market. i think lookout has one where if she steals it again, you can just lock the phone, make it beep so you can find it. it even has a gps locator if you really want to find it. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.lookout&feature=search_result. other then that you may just want to not let your evo out of your sight and put it under your pillow. lol
