Help Help me plz, girlfriend bricked my phone!!!

alright i got the phone a few mths ago upgraded from the samsung galaxy prevail. i got the S2 root shortly after i know how to use odin understand most stuff about the phone. ok the problem is..... i liked the update to jelly bean that my girlfriends phone did so i was gonna do it to, in the process of makeing my phone fully stock again my girlfriend unplugged my phone to plug hers in to charge......... now my phone is stuck on the connect to Kies and do the recovery, i open Kies go to the recovery and it doesnt list my phone like im guessing its posta cant do anything with it there. What should i try now? is the connect to Kies and recover just like download mode? can use fix it with odin stuck this way? am i just screwed? Its still under warranty but i dont know if they can recover it and see that its rooted if its still rooted. im in the process of downloading odin files for the rooted JB.

If you need any info just tell me what you need im kinda newbish but thought i had it under control after my last phone.
 
thats the thing the phone is stuck on the screen telling you to connect to kies and recover, but it wont do anything. and i cant get it to connect to kies at all. it does connect to odin the com highlights
 
Well I think the first thing I would do is about kick my girlfriend to the curb for that. Have you tried a battery pull and try to get into download mode? I know Kies can sometimes be slow as hell when it comes to recognizing a phone.
 
Kies whont recognize it at all... Downloading the stock rom from the link ill try that and let ya know thx for the input.

Odin should still work at that screen. I don't have the boost S2 but I had something similar happen with my S2 was able to load stock back with Odin.
 
It looks like an .exe file. Anything happen if you double click it? And in the first post he says to select the file through PDA in Odin. I've never tried an exe file through PDA. Just tar files.
 
Yo bud i had this same problem and just by luck i got it working here's how i did it

First i removed battery/sdcard
Then i had gb27 no data restore.exe
Secondly i had cwmel26.exe (this is a needed step)
After i already had my ROM on the sdcard it self but it wouldn't get picked up until i removed it and remounted it under mounts
Next i had kies installed make sure when you install kies that your phone is unpluged other wise it wont install the drivers i don't know why but this has always been then case for USB items


Now on to repairing when you turn it on you will see a connect to kies because upgrade failed


That's fine reboot into download mode (if you have the kies warning you should also have recovery)

If not then you will need to uninstall kies and make sure your phone is unplugged and reinstall it *note your trying to install the drivers for this phone if you want kies your more then welcome to let it install the suite*
Connect your phone on the kies warning screen and reboot into download mode if it worked move ahead if not then go into recovery mode and clear your caches and such delete any update off the phone

I know it sounds strange but this is what i had to do to get mine working

Next once in download mode try to flash cwmel26 if it dosent work then you must flash a stock ROM gb27 or gc01 i used gb27.exe one click method.

It will go about half way till it trys to flash the kernel and fail that's fine this is to ensure you can still flash
Next you will flash the el26 now this part you will have to try many times until it passes
For me it failed about 9 times before it finally flashed (maybe due to the fact my dads computer is super old and slow was the case and the USB sucked on it )

Once it finally flashes you flash your choice of a ROM or you can reenter download mode and try for a full restore at this point kiss your cross or girlfriend which ever gives you luck
If it passes the kernel this time and moves on to hidden.IMG you accomplished it and it will boot

But do note your flashing through Odin on USB so the flash counter will go up triangle away is suppose to reset it but I'm to scarred to even try something like that

I hope this helps as your problem is similarities to mine all in all.took me about 2 hours to fix but everything works again
 
well i have my fingers crossed right now, SPH_D710 GB27 Root Nodata Odin3 Excution is doing something, hopefully this it it ill let you know and thanks agian everyone
 
well shit. i got the phone unbricked but now its a sprint phone instead of boost... did i get the wrong thing? either way its not bricked anymore

Not to worry, you just flashed a sprint labeled ROM. Your phone will work fine. You can wither stay on it and just adjust your MMS settings (you need your MSL for that), or you could do a One click install of the GC01 Boost labeled Jelly Bean.
 
alright all back to normal boost out of box settings now i did the update to jelly bean, can i still find a rooted jellybean to flash on?
