dear android forums members , i need someone professional to help .
iam a lebanese user of samsung s2 , i have the icecream sandwish version on it , but i heard last week that jelly bean version is available for my phone , so i entered youtube and i found some explained ways , one of them is to update the android version via odin , and i downloaded a copy of jelly bean for s2 , and i started doing the update step by step , suddenly the update stoped , and the odin program wrote " failed " . when i tried to restart the phone again it gave me a box saying : "firmware upgrade incountered an issue.please select recovery mode in kies and try again "
one of my friends told me that it is impossible to fix the phone again , please help me fastly i need a help

Sorry to see you are having problems.

Just a few questions...

1. Can you post the link to the YouTube video you were using.

2. Can you post a link to the firmware you downloaded.

3. Can you confirm the model number of your phone. Is it the International version of the Galaxy S2, GT-i9100, or is it a GT-i9100G or GT-i9100T variant.

OK...

Lets try and keep this simple. Are you able to get into Download mode...

Put your phone into Download mode by turning it off completely and then press and hold the following buttons... Volume Down + Home (centre hard key) + (lastly) Power. Continue to hold these buttons until your phone boots into the Warning! screen asking you to press volume up if you want to continue or volume down to cancel. Press Volume Up

Now I want you to re-download the LSJ firmware from here.

Then use the instructions for flashing this to your phone, here. Ignore the Ice Cream Sandwich file they ask you to download. The process is exactly the same for flashing JB.
 
but that copy of jelly bean is the european copy , i want the asian copy jelly bean in order to fix it , but sumsung have not release the jelly bean in asia yet

Well, I am afraid that you cannot have what has not been released. I thought from your earlier post that you were trying to flash JB, XXLSJ...

Are you now trying to re-flash an ICS, Android 4.0.x, firmware back to your phone?
 
i didnt try to re-flash ics version , i think it is a big problem , some told me that i should wait till the jelly bean version is released in lebanon. which means that i must wait at least 3 monthes , is that true or any professional person can fix this error ?

You can re-flash your original ICS firmware now by following the instructions under the heading, "My firmware is not eligible for ICS yet but I want it now!", in post #1, here. This will get you back up and running again and then you can wait for the JB release for your CSC code if you want.
 
my brain is really blocked . my phone cant connect via kies ... i'll take it to someone professional , but i just want to ask u a final question plz , is my phone uselles as some friends told me ? or it can be fixed ?
 
You don't need to connect to kies just now to get it back working, follow iron asses instructions on the guide linked in post 10 and you will have a working phone again, that should be able to connect to kies in the future!
