Root Help me read CDMA, CDMA-2, AMPS, System, Roam from Prevail

Trying to read all the info from the Prevail(CDMA, CDMA-2, AMPS, System, Roam) anyone know of a way to do it? I tried QPST Service Programming with no luck so far. I can connect and enter my MSL and start the Read and then get an error: The phone has stopped responding to all memory read/write commands.

Anyone know of another program or some way to get this info?

What are you trying to do with QPST? I had the same error (at one point while I was trying different roms with Odin, I had the phone suddenly work correctly and it could read/write fully in QPST). You do not need to "read" the phone settings into Odin prior to writing a PRL.

If you're just using it to change the PRL, you can ignore the error. The PRL will get written correctly as I've done it. The only difference is that you have to restart the phone yourself since QPST can't do it for you. (when the phone does respond correctly QPST is supposed to reboot the phone once it's done writing)

Also be sure to update the profile in the System Updates menu afterwords to ensure your phone reconnects. (so if there is another tower in your area that it can connect to instead of the Boost one, it can once you update the profile)

EDIT: Now that I think about it, when I briefly had the phone on the FA19 baseband version, that was when it was responding to QPST fully. Though I do NOT encourage you to update to FA19 or use a FA19 rom. FA19 still has connection issues that Samsung has not dealt with. I'd recommend you stick with EJ06.

I just noticed that it now works correctly for me again. It will read the phone/write to it without error. The change is perhaps that you probably have Gingerbread as your Android OS and not Froyo. So if that is the case there are two debug mode menus you need to enter to make the phone respond completely.

1. The DM mode in the ##8778# menu. This one does not restart the phone when changed and a restart is not required. Change it to "USB".

2. The
##7678# is an added menu you need to use if you have Gingerbread installed. (Android 2.3+)

The "Data Port" setting should read as "DM". Changing this option will result in a phone restart since restart is required for it to take effect. ;)

Make sure both settings are set. I think if you forget to change the setting in the
##7678# menu, that's when you get problems with QPST or other apps not reading the phone completely. The first menu is required and if it's not set to USB then the phone wouldn't show up at all in CDMA Workshop or QPST anyway.
