Root Help Needed - Many Issues

Hello all, I am new to the forum and to modding and have a nice selection of connection issues that I have been able to resolve via multiple hours of google mixed with some add and odd/long work hours. Without any further hesitation here are my issues. I recently bought a HTC Sensation 4G off ebay ... I found out after the fact it had more modding than I originally believed ... such as:

1) Unable to get any better connection than 3g/4g/hspa or whatever - only Edge (?) at best

2) Wi-Fi calling is nowhere to be found on the phone

3) Unable to figure out the extent of the modification so I know what I am capable of adding without messing my phone up further

The phone info I can gather is:
Kernel Version: 3.0.16-v1.30.2
Build Number: Virtuous Inquisition v4.0.0

If anyone can point to to where I can obtain the original format of my phone (already attempted hard reset) and where I can read up on some intro to modding would be great.

Thanks in advance!

yup jus search for pyramid 1.50 ruu. download and install that. thats the original os that came with the sensation

Right now I have the provider set to tmobile

in that case i would first boot to hboot, and verify that you are s-off. if you are then:

1)run a factory stock RUU.
use this one for gingerbread:
FileFactory Premium

or

use this one to go right to stock ICS(running it on my sensation now):
RUU_PYRAMID_ICS_TMOUS_3.32.531.14_Radio_11.69A.3504.00U_11.23.3504.07_M2_release_256085_signed - Minus

2)with the STOCK recovery still on the phone, chose the "clear storage" option in hboot. it may be a good idea to do the "factory reset" option as well.

3)reboot,and check data.

last and not least, was this originally a t mobile branded unit? or a gsm unbranded, unlocked one?(should see T Mobile on upper right of phone screen). if its an unbranded unit(and therefore not a 4g) it may lack the physical radios for t mobiles 2g,3g,or 4g(seems unlikely, but maybe. have to research what radios came with what)

you are in an area where you should recieve better than edge, correct?

For whatever reason, it will not finish executing the program. It keeps saying there is a usb connection even though there is not an issue with the connection.

My phone is an unbranded unlocked model, would that make any difference for the ruu as it looks like it is tmobile specific (tmous)?
