Root Help - Not sure how to update my radios...

So how do I flash the radio's from the new ota I'm only asking because i read that its possible to brick your evo if flashed wrong. i would like to flash the new radio's/winmax/prl so that i can flash the new OTA rom to see what new updates are in 4.22.

I didn't flash the new radios immediately coming from Konis. But I eventually did update some of the radios. Just make sure you only flash one at a time letting the phone reboot. Don't flash a combo as it might brick your phone as I did with my first Evo, and you shouldn't have any problems. I upgraded my pri and then reflashed it back to 1.77 with no problems.

well the latest radio combos that calkulin has out worked just fine for me. i had no problem flashing it. main thing is that you have at least one nandroid backup with your wimax keys backed up. you could loose them when attempting to flash your radios.

go to phone settings/about phone/software information/more/baseband is your radio number

Ok so I have baseband 2.15.00.... is this the current one? I saw somewhere 2.16, is that the newer one?do we have a sticky or a guide to flashing a radio on the evo?

the current radio should be:2.15.00.08.08 . the 2.16 refers to your hboot. they are two totally different things.

Ok my only question is how to flash the radio. I flashed the rom using clockwork. I tried doing it in recovery but it isn't working. Am I missing something?

you should use Amon Ra as your recovery and flash the radios....everyone i've seen who has tried it with clockworkmod, it doesnt work...if i remember correctly, the script in the radios cant be read by clockworkmod....i have read some people that use clockworkmod, but switch to Amon Ra to flash the radios, the switch back to clockworkmod....but if you do switch to Amon Ra none of your nandroid backups that you did with clockworkmod are gonna work so u'll have to do knew ones...
