Root Help, please help.

So tried to root yesterday, LOL @ tried, and something went wrong. I used the guide here on the forums and got up to the part where I connect the phone to the cpu and used the unrevoked thingy. after that I didnt know what to do next. after I did all this my INC started acting weird, very sluggish and some apps which I use all the time started force closing. I noticed that in my app list I have an app called Superuser Permissions but when I click it it takes me to a blank page and nothing happens. I dont want to f my phone up, and im not sure whether or not to go back or keep going forward. HELP PLEASE and merry xmas to all.

You didn't f your phone up. If u see superuser then you did it right. That lets you run apps that require root.

As far as being sluggish and apps fc'ing I never ran into this problem.

Go back into hboot > recovery and wipe data/cache/dalvik and reboot. You'll have to set everything back up on your phone. So make a backup first.

Ok but i'm not sure what to do now. Over night I wiped everything and started fresh and now everything seems normal. I guess I just expected something else from rooting or maybe Im an uber noob, I think its the second.
Can I use wifi tether now? should I get the one in the Market?

wifi tether is possible without rooting, but all root does is just make you able to do stuff you couldn't before. So if you was expecting some super uber cool stuff to happen when you rooted, sorry.

But now you can install roms and change your phone up all diff types of ways.

and yes, wireless tether for root is what your looking for

Nevermind got WT to work!!! my Wii has internet! sweet now if only the PS3 could use it but oh well it works! I had to install it thru SD card not market.

Your ps3 can use it, you downloaded the wrong wi-fi tether, you DON'T want the one from the market. You want the one from here:
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/
The one from the market only does ad-hoc which the ps3 doesn't support, the one from the link does AP mode which all systems support.
Uninstall the one from the market before installing the new one.

PS if you just rooted, make sure you do a nandroid backup ASAP.

Go into CWM and go to backup/restore. Select backup and it will make a mirror image of your phone exactly how it is at that time, settings, texts, emails, etc. If you flash something that doesn't work on your phone (bootloop, etc) you can go back into CWM and restore your backup. Get in the habit of making these before you flash anything so you'll always be safe.
