Help Help please,,,,SD-ext issue

So I changed roms and went to format my sd card...now my optimus V can not see the card. I formatted and recreated 2 partitions, 1 for data 1 for link2sd.... Phone will not do anything with it.. In recovery I tried to format sd-ext and it gave me an error. I put another card in and that works, but it is not enough space with that card...how can I fix my card???
