Root Help please! Zte warp sequent stuck in boot loop

i dont see it working, the original ota relies on the files actually already being there, it will fail to even install and if it didnt fail to install it wouldnt give you anything bootable. i still say make the batch file, run it, plug the phone in, and turn it on, see if the thing will pick up on the phone at all, you may get adb access for at least a brief moment and that is all it takes is a half a second to kick into bootloader mode

True i had forgotten he said he had already flashed an *update* of some kind which is what got him into this in the first place. So the files he has on his phone are likely to cause the ota , even an untouched one, to fail as it wont be the files its looking for

*Edit* @TechDad378 i dont think root would be an issue as many others have done it with root and cwm intact and not failed (me being one of them)

I got this phone to work. From the problem identified in the thread. I had to reboot the phone about 6 times for stock recovery to work which caused the stock os not to work.

The solution was downloading the zte software updater from their website. It is a very simple process. It will delete everything back to factory setting from zte.

The software walks you through everything.

The only problem I noticed is that at one point it asks you to put it in FTM mode. The instructions in the software stated press vol down button plus power for FTM mode.

I had to press vol up button and power for FTM mode. Then continued the process and phone worked no problems. Was able to reroot, install cwm and test JellyBeer for the device.

The only downside is you lose all data on your phone and may need to reconnect back to boost mobile. This can be done by pressing ##72786# from the device.

But it does restore phone without bloatware from boost which can give you a good idea of what is really need.

Wish all companies had that software for smartphones!

the instructions are for the Warp(N860) this phone as well as the updating software is a revision of that model... on the sequent(N861) they inversed FTM and Recovery. and they also added another DFU mode if you press both volume buttons and pwr...
