Root HELp Plz

My phone (Lg Apex) Us740 is basically a knock Ally correct? can i follow the same procedure to flashing a custom rom as the ally? i have 2.2.2 and i am rooted using superonclick. i flashed my rom but when i click on "back up current rom" my phone just turns off. please help.

well you rooted with soc...thats a turrible way of rooting...use the guide.

look in the apex all things root. ask questions there. we know about the ally, not the apex.

also, sueroneclick is a baaad way to root.

The "root" attained through SOC is NO difference that the guide. The difference is fastboot. And you CANT use the guide on anything but the ally.

But some help for the OP anyway, for the phone rebooting and no doing a nandroid. Try to remove or rename /system/ect/install-recovery.sh with terminal or root explorer, AnTek explorer. Then reflash the recovery. I would use RA recovery instead of clockwork and trash ROM manager and learn to use the recovery menu while in recovery. Its all pretty self explanitory.

And please, do NOT try any Ally ROMs on your Apex. It might be a knockoff Ally, but they will NOT WORK. kthnx

there is no information at all on how to flash custom roms for the Apex. NONE all i see is threads with questions no answers

Ran into the same issue with my wife's Samsung continuum. Some phones just dont have anything out there to choose from. No community to back them up.

There are no ROMS to flash...that's the problem.

I don't believe statements like "is that a confirmed? back it up with facts before you state what you think my friend. xxx" is going to help your cause much though.
