Root HELP.Problem updating to jelly bean

I was able to install recovery.

Next thing is I would like to install the MeanBean ROM.

From the guide:
The latest full firmware (radio, etc.) is recommended. Check the firmware by pressing Menu while on your home screen, choose "Settings", "About" (bottom of list), "Software Information", "More". If your baseband is less than 1.12.11.1210, you have old firmware and should update else you could have problems with your data connection, reboots, etc. If you're s-off, you can flash the 3.16 firmware via one of the options here. Note that both the full 3.16 firmware and the new touch panel firmware are recommended for best performance, but be aware that the new touch panel firmware will only work with 3.16 based ROMs! If you tend to switch between 3.15 and 3.16 ROMs or you like to try AOSP ROMs, stick with the old touch panel firmware and don't flash the touch panel update.

It looks like I need to upgrade to RUU 3.16. It talks about the new touch panel.
I went to the link:

Under the download link, it says: tp.img not included in the zip. and it also says that latest tp.img breaks touch screen in recovery and on non-stock ROM.

My Question: Should I install the new tp.img or not? Should I install 3.15 or 3.16 (only compatable with 3.16 ROMs). It is confusing.

Includes Radio 1.12.11.1210, PRI 2.97_003 & a few other smaller updates.
HBOOT.img, recovery.img (stock), boot.img & tp.img NOT included in this zip!
(latest tp.img breaks touch screen in recovery and on non-stock ROMs)

I was able to update to 3.16

It talks about the new touch panel.

Hey All new to these forums. I have a question... I am currently S-ON with the latest firmware and 3.16, I want to flash the 3.15 RUU because I am sending my phone back to Sprint but understand I cannot because I am on 3.16. If i am reading this correctly I can flash the MiscTool that sets the main version low which will make my phone think it is on 3.15 so I can flash the 3.15 RUU correct? I tried the new FacePalm S-OFF method and kept getting an error code 99 and the team told me to check out BabyRacun but the way im reading it wont this tool give the same result as BabyRacun? Any help thanks!

Do you have to do this in order? Like above i upgraded from old mean ROM, to newer which went fine. Upgraded TWRP to 2.5 just fine.. Went to flash 3.16 Firmware and it fails. On base 1.02.12.0427 - hboot 1.12 , unlocked..
