Help guys! I just tried todo a rom update for my HTC Hero cos i couldnt update it. For some reason during the update my htc disconnected from my laptop failing the install. My hero now has a white screen with technical data and orange saying RUU USB. It doesnt respond to switching of or anything. nor does it reconnect to my pc.. what the hell do i do now?!

Try running the update from the laptop again with that bootloader screen displayed - "RUU USB" indicates that the device is expecting the ROM Update Utility so it may work. Failing that, pull the battery, wait a few minutes, then refit it and power on. With luck the update didn't get far enough to wipe the existing ROM. If it's still dead in the water then post back and we'll figure a way to sort it out.
