Root [Help] Rooting Not Working

I'm attempting to root my LG Marquee running the ZVC update to no success. I'm running Linux Mint and use the Security Research by Dan Rosenberg Linux version but get the following lines of code when I attempt to root. It is on USB Debugging mode and ready to rock. In search of any help!

u have to downgrade first. u cant root zvc

U can't. The only programs use strictly windows

I attempted it on a Windows laptop and also on Oracle's Virtual Box with Windows XP. I get this as the read out:

I'm open to any help, would like to get this phone rooted. I have loaded up the LG drivers from the site.

Change your phone to a different usb port
