Help HELP! stuck on 4G screen

2 week old evo 4g, not rooted

phone turned itself off, when i went to turn it back on it only gets as far as the white 4G screen and stops

I'm only a beginner so make this easy for me please

when you say stops do you mean that it goes from white screen to the boot animation and then over again?

try pulling out the battery, wait ten sec and then put it back in and boot up.

if that does not work then you may need to do a hard reset.

power off (or pull battery) then press and hold power+vol down. select clear storage. this will delete your data and apps and returns your phone to factory settings.

It gets to the 4g screen, and stays there until the screen timer runs out. When that happens I can't turn the screen back on. No reboot cycle.

3rd time in 3 weeks (1st time with epic 4g)

Just getting a pain to keep clearing my storage
