Yeah I had the latest one and flashed back to a previous one and still got this.....in the meantime I am unable to sent a text (only issue I can find so far) which is very aggravatingYou got me stumped, I haven't seen isues with the radio like this before. Have you tried flashing a different radio and seeing if it works properly?
Try downloading the LTE radio from [RADIO] HTC Thunderbolt Radios [PG05IMG.zip] (Updated: 20 Oct 2011) - xda-developers and flashing again, it could be your SIM card if you can't make calls but I don't know how to troubleshoot that
Well I'm so hoping it doesn't happen again because I have a mac and I dont think you can unroot with a macYeah I think you should be ready to unroot and call VZW if that happens again but who knows. Glad it is working again did you miss any calls?
Sorry about not replying earlier to you I had no clue what was going wrong and I thought scotty or worm might chime in![]()
..I rooted with my mac just before it wouldn't work anymore so I guess I'm screwed if it doesn't work anymore
could I just do this? http://androidforums.com/thunderbolt-all-things-root/309817-easy-way-unroot.htmlCould you use someone else's CPU? If not I have no experience with macs but is there a way to emulate windows or dos (dosbox or something similar) I think I remember a way to fake a dualboot with ubuntu on a mac but I can't find it ATM
) he is a bit better than me when it comes to these things (understatment of the day right there
)I think it would depend on your hboot, if you had used revolutionary then no the RUU wouldn't work, if you have the eng hboot I think you would be fine, you may need to change back to a stock rooted rom and standard recovery, if you have the modified hboot that came out shortly before revolutionary then you may need to go back to the eng hboot as it blocks hboot overwrites. Scotty will be able to correct me where I am wrong (unless I'm not) he is a bit better than me when it comes to these things (understatment of the day right there
)

Well if I flash an RUU I want to just get another TBolt because I'm guessing that's whats wrong with it..so if i can flash an RUU it will look unrooted correct?I thought you said it was working? If you do have to flash an RUU you may wish to try out one of the newer ones but just as a caution if you go to GB unrooted the only way to root will be revolutionary so you will need to find a way to get it to work on your mac or someone who will let you use a windows/linux machine
I have so much going on in my life right now, I really have no time for all this..I also just don't like the idea of not having a working phone like i've had the past few days.Yeah you would need to unroot to get a warranty replacement.
I can't blame you for not wanting to deal with the issues that can come with rooting, I can understand needing a phone that gets texts and calls, then if you don't have time to deal with it for one reason or another it is just a PITA. I PMed scotty to check out this thread but haven't heard from him. You may want to also, like I said I am pretty sure the RUU will get you back to stock but I don't want to give you any bad advise without someone checking it first, if unrooting would be easy and I give you 1 thing that is wrong causing a soft brick it could complicate the process way too much.
Putting current stock firmware and s-on back onto the phone
after getting the bootloader back to the original s-off,engineering 1.04.2000 hboot download these 2 files:
1)PG05IMG_1.70.605.0_nohboot.zip
md5: c2c61df561e8a74cd103f0b9b89d81d6
and
2)PG05IMG_hboot_only_1.04.0000
md5: 584a4cdc12658835cb2a7885e8e44fd2
rename PG05IMG_1.70.605.0_nohboot.zip to "PG05IMG",move to your sd card, and flash in hboot.
this is important! you must flash the PG05IMG_1.70.605.0_nohboot.zip first
after successfully flashing that, you will be on unrooted mr2 with an eng s-off bootloader. delete the PG05IMG file from your sd card. now place the PG05IMG_hboot_only_1.04.0000 on your sd card. check the md5. once youve verified it matches, you can rename PG05IMG and flash it.
again, only flash the hboot file after you have successfully flashed the rom.
now you are 100% stock on latest firmware. unrooted MR2(1.70.605.0),with s-on 1.04.0000 bootloader.
Hope the experience with root was a good one for you and maybe you will come back someday! If you have any other questions feel free to askOkay heard from scotty and he can't post but it looks like the easiest way to unroot would be following the directions in the root/unroot thread I have copied below
After that you should be able to OTA
I'm waiting to confirm the froyo radio is included in the files above so you will be able to get the OTA
