Help HELP When i go to home page it takes forever!

I'm hoping someone can help me out. Sometimes when I go back to my home screen whether it be by hitting the back button or simply hitting the home button it takes like 5 to 8 seconds to display the home screen. What happens is that it goes to a white screen with HTC displayed in green and then after the 5-8 seconds it finally goes to the home screen. Anyone know what's causing this? Please help! Thank you!

You running Sense or another homescreen launcher like Launcher Pro, etc?

Yes I am running a task killer. Should I install it?

The task killer could definitely be your problem. Sounds like it is killing the sense launcher and the screen you are seeing is sense restarting. There is no real legitimate reason to use a task killer on an android phone. If it still happens after uninstalling the task killer there are other things we can look at.

Well it was worth a shot but uninstalling the task killer didn't solve the problem. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There's been a few threads about the same issue you are having. Don't think any of them had a common fix. You can search for them if you want. I'll try and look for them later when I get a chance.

That's interesting cause I have widget locker installed. I will uninstalling it and see what happens. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again!
