Root help with ? about kernel

hey I downloaded a file for a kernel. Its in a zip file my ? is how do I get it moved from the computer to my phone. Thnx for any help

Connect your phone to your computer and mount your SD card. Then copy the zip file onto the root of your SD card. Reboot into recovery, wipe both the cache and davlik-cache, and flash like a ROM.

Now THAT I would consider using

But like most 1 click apps it would only work half the time

how do i know the new kernel flashed?
i (think i) flashed stupidfast 1.5, but not sure how to confirm.

kernel version is 2.6.29 if that helps.

If you have setcpu hit the info tab and its right there at the top

.29 kernel just means its 2.1 that wont change til froyo
