Root help with bootloader

hey hows it going guys
I recently got a Evo 4g lte and so far i got it rooted,unlocked the booloader and installed twrp recovery version 2.6.1.0 with a guide i found on youtube.Everything was going smooth until i got in twrp and iflashed ViperROM (custom rom) and now when i boot up the phone it gets stuck at the bootscreen the only thing i can do is shut it off and go into Hboot.
can anybody help me out please?

Howdy!

It may be that since you are S-on that you are having trouble.

Did you happen to make a nand backup of your original setup? If so, I would suggest wiping and restoring it and then go about getting S-off using this page, Chapter 2, Moonshine method.

yea it's s-on and stupidly i forgot to to a backup before installing the custom rom

Check this out then, [ROM] Mar-1 MeanBean v3.09 | 3.16.651.3 | Mods | Batt saver - xda-developers

That is a good rom and it has support for flashing while S-on built in. Directions and everything.

Others who are more up to date on this will stop by too, so feel free to ask questions.

Both viper and mean rom are great rooms to try......my question is what did you wipe? And you always need to make a nandroid backup before doing anything.....no matter what phone you have.

Ok another question......so you can't get into recovery? Just into the bootloader?

Thanks alot for the help dustwun and ocnbrze,i figured it out.The rom i was trying to flash had a file boot.img inside the size so i had to flash the boot.img to the phone with fastboot.so it's working fine now even got s-off on it with moonshine.

ViperROM was the older stock rom with a few Viper features - it's not Viper4G, that's why.
