I actually got it to do something
the picture in the original post is what it looks like when it is plugged in to the computer and when i unplug it it shows this screen
i got the phone from a friend that wanted it restored to its original state the phone was rooted for metroPCS i don't know what version or what root was used
so i tried to restore it and i ended up bricking it into what it is doing now
i have hacked iphones before but i am not familial with any android flashing/rooting techniques
i tried looking it up but there is so much terminology i don't know and i don't remember the original firmware of what it was rooted/flashed to

well looks like you can get to the bootloader which is power+vol down. you have s-on now so that is a step in the right direction. what about the second step, getting stock rom and recovery? did you name the file correctly? does the bootloader do anything?
