Root Help with clockworkmod v2.5.0.6

Okay, I'm trying to flash a new rom and when I got to the black screen with green letters the volume rocker works for selecting up and down but the camera button does not select any of the features. Any tips on how to proceed? I can get into android recovery but when I reboot it is stuck at the motorola screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, jharvey.

Have you tried to activate your selection with a button other than camera, such as back or home?

Are you sure you are fully depressing the camera button in all the way? It's a two position button. Sorry, but I had to ask. ;)

I've tried a shallow depress, full force depress, and judo level depress. I've tried every available button. From Android rescue I've done a factory and cache wipe. No luck yet. Also tried to format the sd card from my computer which hasn't helped yet either. I'm stumped.

tryto uninstall clockwork then reinstall it ,,,,funny things happen sometimes

I can't reboot out of clockworkmod because the camera button isn't selecting any option. So I tried to go into android recovery and then reboot after wiping, but it's just stuck at the motorola logo. It will not progress after any length of time.

Try pulling the battery. Wait a few minutes, then put the battery back and hold the home, then the power button down.

Tried that already. When I go into android recovery I've formatted it and wiped the cache. Then I try to reboot and it is stuck on the motorola logo. When I try to boot normal it takes me into clockworkmod and I can't select any option. The camera button worked for pictures but isn't recognized by clockworkmod.

try to get into bootloader mode,,,i know the camera button wont work but its worth a try ,,,,pull the batt then put it back in and hold power volume down and camera button at the same time and hopefully that will bring you to a bootloader screen then you will have to flash the sbf ,,,here is a link for the .340 full sbf and in the link i proivided above there are instructions,,,,,try to act fast since your batt life is depleting and once its dead it will create more problems,,,
Full 2.3.340 Official sbf
also on this link the the original link to sbf is dead so you will have to use the mirror and if you cant get it through the mirror pm me

Tried it but to no avail. Got a new phone in the mail today so all is well in my Droid X kingdom. Thanks Darkslide and others!
