Root Help with Flashing / Custom Rom not Booting

Hi Guys,

My name is Rage and I am not new to the rooting and flashing of android phones, but I can honestly say I am failing with this one.

I was able to piece together via many guides here, how to downgrade my phone with Lgnpst, then rooted it with Gingerbreak, and then installed Joneidy's custom recovery 2.2.1 with Flashgui.apk.

Everything seemed to work from there but when I tried to flash PlayfulGod's Cm7 from recovery, it would stop at the Cm7 logo and sit there, and it did the same when I tried Sense Rom and Bobz's CM7.1. Can someone tell me if I skipped a step? I feel like I am normally pretty good at taking directions but I feel dumb. If anyone has any feedback, all is appreciated.

So you are saying it is the Recovery that I am using that is stopping my roms from booting? I will check this out.
joneidy's recovery should not stop it, however if your rom is having a conflict with something you had before the new recovery is able to clear that. joneidys is not.

i heard the recovery you are using does not play nice with specific things needed for certain roms. like DTA2SD and the EXT 3 partition. GNM's works well and there is a post here to get CWM recovery working which makes adding PG's CM7 rom easy.

Did you wipe the Dalvik cache and Data? Give that a try if you didn't and try booting with the ROMs again.
