Help with gold card!

I'm using a kingston 2 gb micro sd card and when I finish the sd card windows keeps saying that its corrupted and needs to be formatted. Im using Hex Editor replacing lines 000000 through 000170.:confused:
 
I know there were "gold cards" involved in the rooting of othet Android devices (and tried to be used for the Eris), but these are not part of the root equation for the Eris as far as I know...

Yeah Gold cards are used for rooting some devices like the Hero I believe (don't quote me on that). But the eris doesn't require anything like that you can just use the one click app.

BTW, I've seen the OP post in a few other threads...perhaps he was researching root methods...but I think he is rooted... Now, I'm more curious than anything...
