Root Help with my bootanimation please?

So I've put a considerable amount of time into this and am about 2 seconds from putting my Evo through the wall, can someone please help me figure out what is wrong with it?

The archive is not compressed, I zipped it using winrar with the compression type "store". The images were all extracted as .png using flash.

I am using Team Nocturnal's Shooter rom rls 4.4, so that is why the zip is named as it is.

I wasn't trying that, but I could probably set it up to flash over. I was navigating to the location on the phone and overwriting it.

I'm not on that rom currently so it may be a little different than what I'm gonna tell you. Use a file explorer, go to data/local and remove the bootanimation that is already there and rename this one to the same name as the original

Thanks for the suggestion, but that is what I have been trying. I'm just confused as to why it is not working. I have overwritten the default boot animation with others in the past without any problems. And according to the multiple guides I was looking over I haven't done anything wrong :(

And I also just realized I posted in the wrong section, I'm sorry for that...

Yes, that is the way it is supposed to be. I just went back into the root directory just to make sure, was about to epic face-palm...

Try looking in another file besides the data/local because on some roms it is in multiple files and you need to change the right one

have you tried to wipe cache and dalvic? also make sure you have write permissions enabled for the location you are trying to overwrite.

So I tried, several times and many hours, trying to get this to work. I took the files from another .gif file, inverted the frames enlarged the pictures and sharpened them to make them less blurry. The .gif is in the zip file named evo-boot, due to the fact I made it 480x800, which is too big to upload here. I also tried to make the boot animation myself, but for some reason it will not work. So I will include the .gif I want made into a boot animation, as well as what I have done thus far in the hopes someone may be able to see what I did wrong...

I will thank everyone who at least attempts to help me out, as having the dancing trollface as my bootanimation would kick ass haha..

And as for things I have already tried with the boot animation; it is not compressed, the dimensions are correct, the file name is correct, the desc.txt is correct, I tried flashing it over using the universal theme patcher, I also tried wiping the cache and dalvik-cache. I also used flash to extract the files correctly as the proper .png format. Nothing has worked so far.
