Help help with optimus

The screen on my optimus has totally stopped taking any inputs and is locked. Do I need to replace the screen or something else to make it work. The screen comes on and colors are still perfect. Its just that the touch screen doesn't work. Any help or advice would be appericiated.

Is it rooted. What have you done,mod wise to it. What did you do prior to it acting up.

No mods on the phone. It was left outside over night by accident on a wet night. It was covered with dew in the morning.

If it's less than a year old you could call up VM and get a replacement.

Thank you for pointing out my error. You are right, it does make it a little harder to understand the questions I asked to try to draw out what really happened to the OP's phone.
I'm usually very good at reading thru my posts to catch any mistakes and then correcting said mistakes before hitting the "Submit Reply" box.
I'll have to concentrate more on cleaning up my posts.
