Root Help with rooting sequent

I really need help. Completely uneducated on rooting topics. I've searched the web and it looks straightforward. I've installed a driver from zteusa. I've downloaded doomlords link. Debuging is on on device. Unknown sources checked. Doom lord is saying waiting for device for an hour plus. Am I missing something. I appreciate your feed back. And I'm using win xp if that matters.
 
I don't have your device so I can't help much with the rooting process, but it sounds like a driver problem or your usb cable. Fastboot is obviously not recognizing the device.

Try restarting your phone and computer, and then plug into a different usb port. When you connect the phone take note on whether or not the PC recognizes the device and if it installs the drivers properly. Make sure there isn't an error when connecting the phone to the pc.

If possible, you can also try a different cable. Are you sure that your cable is a charge/data cable? I have seen some that are charge only. Not with your phone particularly but have seen it before.

And I know you said debugging is enabled but also give that one more check.

Looking through the replies in the root guide, someone mentioned that the screen needs to remain on the entire time. Maybe also set your screen to not sleep during the process.

One more thing, before running the root tool, did you install and verify the drivers were working per this guide mentioned in the rooting guide?
 
oh yea, and changing between usb modes might help. charge only works for some, mtp for others, and sometimes you need to be in installer mode

also its not fastboot mode its adb android debug
 
This is where u r starting to lose me. I swapped USB cords. My phone is set to stay on for 30mins so no issue there. I'm going to download the driver over. I really don't understand what this is I just know it needs to be done. Now after the driver is on my PC am I downloading to phone or should recognize my phone automatically. I've read the links u both have sent and will c if it has the yellow triangle after installed and use those steps to fix. Thank y'all very much for the help
 
not a problem. but as far as downloading things to the phone that is not necessary, just run the program you downloaded from zteusa, it installs the drivers, and they should work but the fact is sometimes you have to force them on older pcs
 
There are 2 things with hazard sign. Linux and Intel. I don't think that is my phone. I do see at the bottom of the device manager list I have USB controller there is USB root hub. No mention of zte or android anywhere on the list. Does this mean good driver.. now it says daemon successfully started and stays like that for 20 mins. No prompt on phone
 
android is linux, see if the linux thing goes away when you unplug the phone. and no that means it cant read the phone. the daemon is just a computer program that can run without a phone even plugged in
 
I had the same problem with my phone, It didn't want to root , I tried super one click, i tried doomlord, i tried a few methods, but use Junkies AIO tool, it works. I've got a copy link for the old one in Warped 420 roms and he just released the new one in junkies AIO thread.

The drivers , I went to control panel and uninstalled them, then re-installed with third option from the pop-up menu when plugging in the phone. When done correctly ,it will say ANDROID in device manager.
 
Best thread for a bricked phone would be listed under the specific device. Bricked galaxy? Galaxy thread. Bricked sequent? Sequent thread. Better device specific support than in a general "bricked devices" thread.
