Root Help with SBF'ing back to froyo

Ive tried linux and RSD Lite to sbf back to froyo but i keep getting the same error. Im on bootloader 3.04 and i believe im doing everything correctly. In running the program as administrator on windows and doing the commands needed on linux. I also have gotten the newest drivers. Heres the error log.

Use RSD lite 4.9, 2.3.340 froyo, correct bit drivers for windows, run as administor

you don't need linux.

On windows, insert the SBF and flash it.

You have a linux distribution installed? Or were you trying the linux bootable cd found here in the forums. If you have a linux distro already installed using that is way easier than RSD

i have ubuntu installed, i also have downloaded the sbf_flash

YES. This is way easier then. Which sbf file are you trying to use. Specific name.

and you had all of them in the same directory and ran the following code?

chmod +x sbf_flash
sudo ./sbf_flash VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf

And it threw that error you put in your OP?

the error code in my OP was the logfile from RSD Lite. When i run it in ubuntu, i get

Verify the md5sum using the terminal. Be in the directory with the SBF file and type
md5sum VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf

Should say f72e60fac2f4478ae5fd81b18eb8d01e

Try using this sbf_flash tool that I took off my desktop. maybe yours is old or corrupted.

just tried that and im sad to say that it didnt work. =( i dont know what is wrong with my phone haha

Then to be honest I don't either. I've ran out of options. You could try http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...ootable-linux-cd-soley-sbf-headache-free.html but I dunno if that would do it either.

Are you on a windows computer or a virtual machine? Try a real windows computer, a different one if there is something wrong with yours, a friends house maybe?

im on a real windows, i also have ubuntu installed as a dual boot. i also have tried 2 other computers with windows, and i keep getting the same errors

you can send me the phone...ive flashed my X multiple times, as well as a friends lol....

im kidding im kidding...its just so weird how things can just work so differently between machines/devices..

only things i can even think to try...and this SHOULD make ZERO difference and its for absolute HAHA's but try putting a folder on your desktop named RSDLite then put the .zip and the .sbf file that is extracted from it in there...see if it works...

are you currently rooted? or are you trying to get back to Froyo so you CAN root GB??...if you're currently rooted...you could i guess try re-flashing the bootloader from clockwork...maybe there is something FUBARd in the bootloader itself...

have you tried a different USB cable??

i am not rooted and am on GB, trying to get back to froyo to root and get GB rooted. i have also tried using 2 different cables and it still wont work. ive also tried making an rsdlite folder and no success. =(
i think im stuck on GB until/if a root comes out
