Root Help with stopping JB Update notification

Hello All,
Looking for a little help...

I've got a Galaxy Reverb that I just got root on.
Installed Titanium Backup.

What app can I freeze to stop the constant Update to JB notifications??

My wife has JB on her SGR and is not that happy.
Sluggish, locking up, camera app flakey.
Google Now is the only positive.

For startes uninstall TB go to market and get Rom Toolbox Lite given its way better than forementioned.Upon install do a batch backup of all apps( this will be apparent in app manager/backups/self explanatory folder sd card wise) so you can easily go to this and get whatever needed in the future.Use any form of root browser go to System/Apps and delete Update.apk never freeze anything as with actually deleting your gaining more RAM if not appeneded to SD

First, thanks for the tip...
However, I can't find the file Update.apk.

I'm looking in the System/app folder, but there's nothing in there.

I used the search function of the Rom Toolbox(from root dir) but found nothing.

According to the UPDATE notification I see every ten minutes, there is a 300MB file waiting to install on the next reboot.

Any idea where it is?

You should find it in the /cache folder.

My Reverb also had no update.apk but I found a way to get around that which is explained in the thread that Atma linked to.

Freezing the update.apk worked on my old Droid 2, however. Normally I try that with Titanium Backup, but like him, I found the update apk impossible to find.
